With privacy and wilderness views, the Big Bothy offers a comfortable, secure and sheltered alternative form of camping, whilst staying on Tiree. The Big Bothy is the big brother to its neighbour – ‘The Wee Bothy’ and as the name implies, it is simply a larger version. Also minimally furnished but is a convenient option for those travelling to the Tiree by plane or if you are looking for more solid accommodation than a tent provides.

The Big Bothy has one kids single bed (160cms x 75cms) with a basic mattress, a couch bed (suitable for a child or teenager), and a regular double bed. There is additional floor space to lay out for additional camping bedding. sheets, duvets and covers are not provided.

Two 240v 13amp sockets provide power for any standard household goods, phones and laptops that you may bring with you. A towel rail & small panel heater in the Big Bothy, provides heat & drying abilities for anyone using the facility.

Guests must bring their own sleeping bag and/or sheets and duvet, and their own pillow/s.
