Balinoe Campsite is approximately 6 miles from the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry terminal at Scarinish, and 3 miles from the Tiree Airport at Crossapol. Most of the island’s facilities are in Scarinish, Tiree’s main settlement. In Scarinish there is a bank (The Royal Bank of Scotland), Post Office, Co-op supermarket, and hotel/bar. ‘Buth a Baile’ is a general store and newsagent located in Crossapol which is the nearest shop to the campsite. There is a Ring and Ride Bus Service, which is demand responsive and must be booked in advance. This service can be contacted on 01879 220 419.
Arriving on Tiree we would ask that all visitors attempt to check in with us within two hours of arriving by ferry or flight to allow our staff to check you in to the campsite. Our booking office and staff are based ‘offsite’ and this makes the process easier for visitors and staff alike.
