Payments and refunds policy at Balinoe Campsite.

While we understand that our clients book with full intention of travelling to Tiree and staying with us, plans often have to change for a variety of reasons.

In order to be as fair as possible to our clients, a request for a refund will always be examined on a case to case basis to try to offer the fairest resolution for all parties. That being said, as a business running from a remote island, cancellations are less likely to be rebooked than when staying on a mainland campsite.

Accordingly we have tried to outline our policy below for transparency and to allow you to see what our terms and conditions are, before booking with us.

At all times once booking has been made and payment taken, we will retain 20% of the overall value of the booking. Please do not book unless you are happy to accept this.

  • Cancel you booking within 8 weeks (or more) of your arrival date, we refund 80% of the total value of your booking.

  • Cancel your booking within 6-8 weeks of your arrival date, we refund 60% of the total value of your booking.

  • Cancel your booking within 4-6 weeks of your arrival date, we refund 40% of the total value of your booking.

  • Cancel your booking within 2-4 weeks of your arrival date, we refund 20% of the total value of your booking.

  • Cancel your booking within 2 weeks of your arrival date, we can unfortunately offer no refund on the value of your booking.

At all times we encourage clients to ask about the possibility of refund in the event that they have to cancel a booking with us. This does not however guarantee a refund in full but circumstances will be taken into account when reviewing any and all cancellations.
