Skerry View is a modernized four bedroom croft house sleeping up to a maximum of 8 people comfortably. It has a spacious kitchen and dining area and the living room/dining room is fitted with a double sided multi-fuel stove. This along with storage heating and panel heating, provides warmth throughout the house. Parking is directly outside the entrance to the property.
Skerry View is set immediately beside Balinoe Campsite however benefits from its own private gardens with outdoor furniture for eating and cooking outside in the summer months. The house is situated around a quarter of a mile from the main road along a private gravel track that is well maintained and easily accessible. The track is also shared with ‘Tiree Glass’. The house is set amidst crofting ground and enjoys views over the crofting landscape towards Skerryvore lighthouse on the west coast and towards the Treshinish islands off the east coast of Tiree.
Well behaved dogs are welcome to stay at the property but are not allowed in the carpeted areas in the house.
Rentals are normally (but not exclusively) on a week long basis from Sunday to Sunday and are available year round.

GROUND FLOOR

Dining Room – seating for 8 around a large dining table.

Side Porch Entrance – with boot room/pets area & lockable sports gear storage area.
Kitchen – a four ring electric cooker with main oven, top oven and electric grill, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, washing machine, condenser dryer, slow cooker.
FIRST FLOOR
Double Bedroom – with one 5′ double bed.
Twin Bedroom – with two 3′ single beds.
Bunk Bedroom – with a set of 3′ bunk beds.

Additionally the shared campsite facilities next door offer exterior water taps with hoses for washing down watersports gear and a large barn for storage of bikes and watersports equipment. The house has its own private gardens.
FACILITIES AND SERVICES
There is 2 MB Wi-Fi broadband in the house available in the dining room area. For security you will be given a full set of keys for all ‘necessary’ doors and windows on arrival and an additional master set is retained at all times by us. Rubbish is uplifted by the Local Council from the end of the access track to the house every Tuesday. Further and more detailed information is available in the house with regard to waste disposal. The heating is in the house is via storage and panel heaters and the living room/dining room multi fuel stove. Hot water is provided by an electric immersion tank.
The house has a phone line connection that allows for calls to be made and received but we would prefer that you do not use this as your primary form of communication and more as a backup for emergencies.
OUTSIDE SPACE AND PARKING
There is parking for up to three cars (or more if required). The house is set amidst crofting ground. Traffic accordingly is no issue for pets or young children and while the land is freely available for walking under the outdoor access code, we would ask you to respect that the grass in surrounding fields is largely grown and cropped from the beginning of May until the end of August. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
